The Instructors

 Fernanda Ruiz, has been a Yoga Alliance–certified instructor 

(RYT-200) since 2013. Over the years, she has taught restorative Hatha, Vinyasa, and Power Flow, consistently blending alignment, endurance, breathwork, and creative sequencing to energize both body and spirit. Fernanda has taught at the University of South Florida, botanical gardens, yoga studios, and outdoor gyms.

In 2014, she embarked on a transformative Vipassana silent meditation retreat, which led her back to Veracruz, Mexico, where she built yoga community and hosted her first yoga retreat. By 2016, Fernanda and her family settled in Colfax, California, where she eventually opened Paloma Yoga Studio in 2021. 

"I have materialized a long lived dream of creating a Sacred Space where Yoga, Meditation, Breathing Techniques and movement of energy are taught. My ultimate goal is to share this sacred space with the best team of instructors in the area."

Since 2023, Fernanda has deeply focused on and incorporated into her teaching style somatic tools, trauma healing, astrology, and tarot, while adding a touch of Kundalini to her authentic classes. She teaches from experience and from the heart, and has successfully brought mobile studio yoga offerings to life. She began holding full moon circles and women’s gatherings consistently 

and continues to do so.

In 2025, Fernanda dove deeply into the practice of rewiring the subconscious mind using the power of affirmations and has been teaching this work ever since. In 2024, she led a spring yoga retreat in Coloma, and in fall of 2025, the Root and Rise yoga retreat in Puerto Rico. In 2026, she completed her certification and is now a certified astrologer.
